PediPlace is a medical home for children throughoout North Texas from birth through eighteen years of age who are uninsured or who qualify for Medicaid or CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) benefits.  The PediPlace service model primarily uses nurse practitioners or physician assistants to provide high-quality care at lower costs. While not a free clinic, PediPlace will not deny services if a family is unable to pay. 

Primary care pediatric services are designed to meet the unique situation of each patient, including:
  • Treatment of illnesses
  • Preventive (Well-Child) care including immunizations
  • Hearing and vision screenings
  • Treatment of asthma and other chronic illnesses
  • Referrals for specialized care
  • Newborn parent health and child safety education

Throughout its 21 years of service, PediPlace has made healthcare a reality for more than 20,500 children, including more than 313,000 office visits. In 2014, PediPlace provided primary pediatric healthcare services to 6,143 patients in 23,857 office visits and established 1,753 new patients, which included 531 newborn children.
