PROJECT CHAIR:
Family Gateway provides services for families with children in crisis including temporary housing, counseling, referral, special programs, job search training and placement assistance for parents.
 
DJF members participate in an Adopt-An-Apartment project, refurbishing apartment units occupied by families residing in transitional housing, as well as conduct study skills classes for children and teens residing there. Members have also collected books and designed a library for the residents' use. DJF members assist with annual holiday and fund-raising events and projects. Until recently closing its doors, members worked monthly shifts over the past six years at For Goodness Sake! gift shop on behalf of Family Gateway. The shop returned 100% of their sales profits back to local agencies that serve children at risk, Family Gateway being one of the recipients.
