DJF is proud to be able to award service grants to qualified non-profit agencies as a result of the time, effort and dedication our members continue to put into our annual fundraiser event and ongoing cookbook sales. (Click Cookbooks for a look at our award-winning DJF publications.)
DJF begins its grant selection process late September of each year with applications being solicited from qualified non-profit agencies. A thorough review and selection process is carried out by our Community Outreach Committee. Recipient announcements and funding are made prior to the end of the year.

2008-09

With our successful Spring Fling in April 2008 and sales of our cookbooks, DJF allocated over $60,000.00 to these agencies:
Frisco Family Services
Dallas Children's Advocacy Center
Juliette Fowler Homes
Ronald McDonald House of Dallas

2007-08

The success of our seventh annual Spring Fling fundraiser luncheon and continued sales of Tuxedos to Tailgates and Deep in the Heart cookbooks, allowed DJF to allocate a total of $66,000.00 in service grants this fiscal year to the following agencies:
Bryan's House Juliette Fowler Homes
Dallas Children's Advocacy Center Ronald McDonald House

2006-07

A total of $61,000.00 in grants was awarded this service year to three qualified non-profit agencies as a result, once again, of our combined fund raising efforts and cookbook sales.  Those recipients were:

Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center

Family Gateway

Tables and chairs for Family Gateway Center's dining room along with new cribs for its youngest temporary residents were among items purchased with this awarded DJF grant.
